IS pac 9162

Waldenburg – R. STAHL Schaltgeräte GmbH presents the IS pac type 9162, a compact and versatile transmitter supply unit featuring two integrated limit value contacts and additionally an analog 4…20 mA output. The unit is suitable for 2-wire HART transmitters, 3-wire transmitters and mA sources such as 4-wire transmitters. Due to the two limit value contacts, monitoring of the input is easy and cost-efficient: alarms can be triggered if the input exceeds or falls below preset values. Pre-alarms can be triggered as well. The device is equipped with long-life electronic contacts which reduces maintenance costs.

Its compact housing is only 17.6 mm wide, which allows for space-saving as-sembly in cabinets. The input enables line fault monitoring for increased plant safety: malfunctions can be indicated via LED, fault contact or accumulative fault messages over the pac bus. This easily scalable bus can be installed without tools. It facilitates auxiliary power supply and increases plant safety by monitor-ing cable errors and loss of auxiliary power. The intrinsically safe transmitter supply units are suitable for hazardous areas (Ex II 3(1) G EEx nA nC [ia] IIC T4 and Ex (1) D [Ex iaD]). They are approved for installation in Ex zone 2, for the connection of intrinsically safe circuits in zones 0 and 1 and for hazardous dust atmospheres in zones 20 and 21.
